2 people arrested in connection to Vaudreuil double homicide

The Sûreté du Québec has arrested a 38-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman in connection with a double homicide in Vaudreuil-Dorion.

Members of the SWAT team carried out the operation Monday night across Vaudreuil and St. Lazare.

Sargeant Daniel Thibodeau of the SQ confirmed to Global News the operations “were held without incidents.”

The SQ are keeping the name of the arrested confidential.

The arrests come after Joseph Fluet and Steven Lamarsh were found in a field on Montée Alstonvale in Vaudreuil on December 1.

Last week, police were asking for help to locate two people: 38-year-old Richard Hunt, from the Vaudreuil region as well as 28-year-old Mélanie Binette.

Police said they couldn’t confirm the two people in custody are Hunt and Binette.
