Samantha Beiko, the Co-Organizer of Holiday Geek Craft Market, said a lot of the members are artists and this is a chance for them to showcase their unique work.
“In a lot of these fan groups they are male dominated and have been for the most of their history. But the truth is, women have always been the biggest demographic and fans in these groups,” said Beiko
Beiko said her group is focused on recognizing all women, transgender, female-identifying, and more. Giving everyone a safe space to be who they are and share in their love for comics and arts.
The fair was free to the public and didn’t cost any of the women to set up their booths.
