2 teens, 5 adults charged in Kandahar, Sask. armed robbery

Seven people, including two teens, are facing numerous charges following an armed robbery in Kandahar, Sask.

Wynyard RCMP said three people from Saskatoon were robbed on Wednesday by someone armed with a gun.

During the robbery, police said one person was forcibly confined and assaulted with a weapon.

Mounties located four suspects a short time later and took them into custody.

A fifth suspect was arrested Thursday by Wynyard RCMP.

The remaining two suspects were taken into custody by members of the Southey RCMP detachment and Regina police dog service in a high-risk takedown on Highway 6.

The seven accused are facing numerous drugs, weapons and related charges from the robbery and assault.

Three men remain in custody awaiting appearances in Yorkton provincial court.

Four people have been released on conditions and are due back in Wynyard provincial court on Jan. 26, 2017 to answer to the charges.
