Speeding cited as factor in Saskatoon rollover

Saskatoon police said speeding is a factor in a rollover at the base of the University Bridge.

The rollover happened Tuesday at around 8:10 p.m. CT.

According to police, the driver of a westbound vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed lost control and hit a light pole.

The vehicle then flipped and ended up on its roof.

The driver fled the scene on foot north through Kinsmen Park.

A police dog was unsuccessful in tracking him down.

Two passengers in the vehicle were not hurt.
