British police released CCTV footage of the incident Tuesday.

Captured on Nov. 9, the video shows a transport truck driver and his passenger speaking to a pick-up truck driver, who becomes abusive and attacks one of the men.

The transport truck driver and his passenger return to their vehicles, and the pick-up driver is then seen reversing his vehicle into the other truck, before smashing the truck’s window with a spade.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said the men were arguing after their vehicles had collided as they both drove onto a highway.

“The driver and passenger in the lorry were just trying to get on with their day’s work when they collided with the man in the pick-up truck. Accidents happen and they were attempting to deal with the situation in an appropriate manner,” said John Cavanagh from GMP’s Roads Policing Unit.

“No one could have anticipated the level of violence they would then fall victim to.”

Neither of the men was seriously injured but they were left terrified by the attack, police said.
