Firearms seized by Prince Albert, Sask. police

Three people have been charged after police seized firearms following a search of a Prince Albert, Sask., home.

The search happened Saturday morning at the home located in the 900-block of 13 Street West.

Officers were initially looking for a man wanted on outstanding warrants, breach of court orders and for possession of firearms.

Prince Albert police said they seized a modified .22-calibre handgun, a modified shotgun, ammunition and two machetes during their search.

Two men, 27 and 23, and a 24-year-old woman were arrested and are now facing numerous firearm-related charges.

All three are scheduled to appear Monday morning in Prince Albert provincial court.

Police said the 27-year-old man and the woman were arrested in October and charged with numerous firearm-related offences in an incident that involved the tactical team.
