Saskatoon police are trying to locate two people after a man said he was unlawfully confined and then had his truck stolen.

At around 7:30 a.m. CT on Friday, the man told police he was sitting in his truck near the intersection of Fairlight Drive and Fairmont Drive when he was approached by a man and woman armed with a handgun and bear spray.

Police said he was forced to drive them to a residence in the 200-block of Avenue R South and then back to Fairmont Drive. Once there, the man was able to escape.

The suspects then fled in his vehicle. Officers found the truck abandoned a short distance away.

No arrests have been made but the investigation is still ongoing.
