Longueuil police relaunch search for man who went missing 30 years ago

Longueuil police are asking for the public’s help as they relaunch the investigation into the disappearance of Pierre-Jean Durocher.

Durocher was 23 years old when he was last seen 30 years ago. He was reported missing in Longueuil on Nov. 25, 1986.

Police said they are hoping to shed light on his disappearance with the availability of new technology.

Investigators are especially keen to speak with former work colleagues. At the time of his disappearance, Durocher worked at a Harvey’s restaurant located at the corner of Chemin Chambly and Gentilly Street in Longueuil.

Police are also interested in speaking with former friends or people who may have known Durocher when he lived in a boarding house in Longueuil.

Police said he was also known to frequent gay clubs and worked in saunas near Montreal’s downtown core.

Anyone with information is being asked to call police at 450-463-7211 or dial 911. Information will be treated in a confidential manner.
