A 28-year-old man was hit in the head with a rock and robbed in downtown Halifax on Thursday evening by someone he knew, according to police.
The incident happened around 9:15 p.m. in the 2100-block of Barrington Street. Police say the man was walking in the area when he was called over to speak with someone he knew.

That’s when he was assaulted and robbed.
The victim was taken to hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Police are still looking for the suspect, described as a white man in his fourties.
