Swords, knives, nunchucks and $10k in drugs seized from Calgary homes: ALERT

Police have laid charges after seizing multiple weapons and $10,000 worth of drugs from two Calgary homes earlier this month.

Officers searched the homes – located in the communities of Mission and Dover – on Nov. 10.

According to the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT), items seized from the homes include:

  • 2 shotguns and ammunition
  • 39 grams of cocaine
  • 13 grams of methamphetamine
  • 13 grams of marijuana
  • 15 grams of hashish
  • 70 codeine pills
  • 110 unknown pills
  • 17 lorazepam pills
  • 5 grams of an unknown powder
  • $3,647 cash proceeds of crime
  • 9 replica firearms
  • Various weapons including a collapsible baton, swords, nunchuks, and knives

Dana Sutherland, 33, and Alok Uppal, 40, are charged with a number of drug and weapons-related offences.
