The Kelowna man charged in a cold-case murder made a brief court appearance Wednesday afternoon.
Steven Randy Pirko appeared by video link with his lawyer from the Kamloops Regional Correctional Centre.
Pirko is accused of second-degree murder in the slaying of Christopher Michael Ausman.
His body was found in the early morning hours of January 25, 2014 on a blood-stained sidewalk along Highway 33 in the Rutland neighbourhood.

It’s believed Ausman was stabbed to death.
Police have not revealed a possible motive for the killing or any of the circumstances leading to Pirko’s arrest.

The case has been adjourned for three weeks while the defence lawyer waits for evidence disclosure from Crown Counsel.
