SASKATOON – Ten months.
That is how long the delay will be from the originally scheduled completion date of September 30, 2012 for the Circle Drive south project until it actually opens on July 31, 2013.
The new date is contained in an administrative report to be presented to city council next Tuesday.
Graham-Flatiron, the contractor for the project, says wet weather over the past three years had an impact on the construction schedule and the company had hoped to achieve a partial opening later this year.

Recent snow, freezing rain and cold weather hampered road construction this fall, causing the delay until next summer.
For the most part, the Circle Drive South Bridge, west and east side structural work, drainage, utilities, along with some roadwork, has been completed and the city is looking to open the intersection at Clancy and Circle Drive this fall.
New roadways including Jasper, Preston and Portage Avenues, roadwork at the ramps on Valley Road as well as through lanes from 11th Street to north of Clancy Drive remain unfinished.
Work on those areas will resume in the spring.
Graham-Flatiron faces a penalty of up to $10,000 a day for not completing the project on time in the form of a payment hold-back.
No penalties have been announced and city officials are expected to sit down with Graham Flatiron to discuss any potential penalties.
