The driver of a semi is dead and two other people were injured following a crash on Highway 5 early Sunday morning.
The collision between the semi and a car happened around 3:30 a.m. CT approximately 10 kilometres east of Saskatoon.

Initial reports indicated that the semi had rolled and the car was submerged in water with people inside.
The Saskatoon Fire Department sent two engines, a rescue unit and the water rescue team to the scene.
A firefighter wearing a water rescue suit began to extract a man from the car and was helped by members of the water rescue team when they arrived a short time later.
Saskatoon RCMP said the semi driver was pronounced dead. No names have been released
The driver of the car and a passenger in the semi were taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
The highway was closed for several hours while police carried out their investigation and the scene was cleared.
