Michael Bublé’s oldest son Noah has been diagnosed with cancer.

The Burnaby, B.C., native did not provide many details but said, in a statement to ET Canada that Noah, 3,  is undergoing treatment in the United States.

Bublé did not say what type of cancer Noah has been diagnosed with.

He said in the statement that he, along with his wife Luisana Lopilato, have put their careers on hold in order to devote all their time and attention to Noah.

Bublé and his wife have two children: Noah, and his younger brother Elias, who was born on Jan. 22, 2016.

In his Facebook post he asks for prayers from his fans.

Michael and Lu confirm son’s illness:

“We are devastated about the recent cancer diagnosis of our oldest son Noah who is currently undergoing treatment in the US. We have always been very vocal about the importance of family and the love we have for our children. Luisana and I have put our careers on hold in order to devote all our time and attention to helping Noah get well. At this difficult time, we ask only for your prayers and respect for our privacy. We have a long journey in front of us and hope that with the support of family, friends and fans around the world, we will win this battle, God willing.”

There will be no further information released at this time.

“And then there were 4,” tweeted Michael Buble on January 22, 2016. “Introducing Noah’s little brother Elias Bublé.”

Last June, Noah was admitted to hospital in Argentina after being scalded with hot water. Shortly after the accident, Bublé let his fans know Noah was at home in the U.S. and was “happy and healthy.”
