An investigation revealed that the 25-year-old had registered for several nights at the Halifax YMCA on Nov. 2, 1991. She returned the key on Nov. 4. Her bank card had been used in Halifax on Nov. 2.
Halifax police say the circumstances surrounding Katnick’s disappearance are suspicious and investigators say foul play may be involved.
Katnick’s file is part of the province’s Major Unsolved Crimes Program, which offers a reward of up to $150,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Halifax Regional Police or Crime Stoppers.
