The Craven Country Jamboree is re-branding to join the Country Thunder Music Festival.

The festival held a reveal party at Victoria’s Tavern Thursday evening. Organizers also announced the 2017 headliners are Blake Shelton, Toby Keith and Keith Urban.

Country Thunder is already an established brand and has been holding country music festivals in Wisconsin and Arizona for 23 years.

The expansion means the brand has now added Craven, to its four city festival lineup.

Calgary held their first Country Thunder Music Festival in August.

Country Thunder Executive Producer Troy Vollhoffer said the rebrand will not affect the fan experience. The location in Craven, camping and festival organization will stay the same.

Vollhoffer, a Regina native now living in Nashville said this was strictly a business move, intended to help bring in bigger better acts.

“Talent costs are rising every day and the, [with] Canadian dollar exchange, the majority of our talent is based in US dollars. So, you put a $1.32 on it so the money goes up. So we’ll be able to buy bigger, better acts for a better dollar, ” Vollhoffer said.

Tickets and camping sites are already on sale for Country Thunder 2017, July 13-16th.
