Police in Strathcona County have been busy over the past few months trying to put a dent in the area’s drug trade. It appears their hard work is paying off. 39 people have been arrested and are facing 91 drug related charges.
“These arrests will have a significant impact on the local drug trade,” said Constable Wally Henry, spokesperson for the Strathcona County Detachment. “These investigations not only deal with the actual drug offences, but the associated crimes that accompany this activity as well, including property and persons related offences.”
A variety of drugs have been seized during the investigation, from the well known to the more exotic, including: heroin, crack cocaine, ecstasy, marihuana, OxyNEO, sandoz morphine SR, pms-hydromorphone and para-Methoxymethamphetamine.
A 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle, a 2009 Toyota Highlander SUV, and about $34,000 in cash were also seized.
This is a list of those arrested, and the charges they’re facing:
23-year-old Jordan Waniwan is facing one count of trafficking in a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and three counts of breach of probation.
22-year-old Raniel Habla is facing one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
58-year-old Clinton Webber is facing two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of proceeds of crime, and one count of breach of probation.
22-year-old Mitchel Crawford is facing one count of possession of a controlled substance, one count of trafficking in a controlled substance, two counts of possession of proceeds of crime, one count of resisting arrest, and one count of breach of probation.
27-year-old Mark Dancy is facing four counts of trafficking a controlled substance, and one count of possession of proceeds of crime.
22-year-old Paige Cassidy is facing one count of trafficking in a controlled substance, one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of proceeds of crime, and two counts of breach of probation.
21-year-old Lorentz Alza is facing one count of trafficking in a controlled substance, one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and two counts of possession of proceeds of crime.
33-year-old Lee-Ann White is facing one count of trafficking in a controlled substance, one count of possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of possession of proceeds of crime.
46-year-old Korinna Bresatz is facing one count of trafficking in a controlled substance.
23-year-old Mark Marquez is facing one count of trafficking in a controlled substance, one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and one count of possession of proceeds of crime.
26-year-old Dorcie jones is facing one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of possession of proceeds of crime.
20-year-old Bahige Chabban is facing one count of trafficking in a controlled substance, and one count of possession of a controlled substance.
43-year-old Giles St. Jean is facing one count of trafficking in a controlled substance, and one count of possession of a controlled substance.
37-year-old Darwin Cappo is facing one count of trafficking in a controlled substance, and one count of possession of proceeds of crime.
54-year-old Mindy Cappo is facing one count of possession of proceeds of crime, and one count of trafficking in a controlled substance.

44-year-old Michel Binet is facing two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, and two counts of proceeds of crime.

28-year-old Matthew Heilesen is facing four counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled substance, two counts of possession of proceeds of crime, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, one count of possession of stolen property under $5000.00, one count of mischief over $5000.00, and one count of operating a motor vehicle while suspended.
