WINNIPEG — Two men in their 20’s have been arrested and charged after a July arson injured four people.
Winnipeg Police Service said the Arson Unit and the Office of the Fire Commissioner together deemed the fire to be considered arson. With damages estimated at over $100,000.
On July 16, just after 4 a.m. a fire in a home on the 500 block of Young Street sent four people running out of the home, managing to escape the flames.

Winnipeg Police Service said two youth left with minor injuries and then two people in their 20’s sustained more serious injuries from the fire.
During the investigation, Officers said several suspects were identified who allegedly targeted the Young Street home. Officers said they allegedly threw multiple devices designed to cause a fire through different windows.
On September 15, 20-year-old Dallas River Perreault was arrested and charged with:
- Arson causing damage to property
- Arson with disregard for human life
On Saturday, 26-year-old Michael Kevin Ndlovu was arrested and charged with:
- Arson causing damage to property
- Arson with disregard for human life x2
- Posession of incendiary device (fire causing device)
Both were taken in to custody as the investigation continues.
