Pedestrian struck by truck during heavy fog near Prince Albert, Sask.: RCMP

Police say a 21-year-old man was struck by a half-ton truck about two kilometres south of Prince Albert, Sask., on Saturday.

At around 6:30 a.m. CT, emergency services were called to a pedestrian collision on Highway 2.

Investigators determined that the man was walking in the middle of the double-lane highway when he was struck by the southbound vehicle.

EMS took the pedestrian to a Saskatoon hospital where he remains with serious injuries.

The driver of the truck remained at the scene.

Prince Albert RCMP said there was heavy fog and low-light conditions at the time of the collision.

The investigation is ongoing but charges are not being considered.
