The second annual Montreal KidCon! is underway at Stade Uniprix.
The event is a chance for kids of all ages and parents to enjoy activities as a family.
Among this year’s features are virtual reality video game demos, skateboarding on half pipes, performances from crowd favourites like Thomas the tank engine, and much more.

Despite the rain, organizer David Newman, said it appears the number of people attending has already surpassed last year’s number and he believes attendance will exceed his expectation of 5,000.
“It’s a nice validation of a thought that I had, a thought that families could have fun together and we could celebrate children’s sophisticated sense of pop culture,” Newman said. “They have pop culture and characters they like and I find it very gratifying that we’re able to put an idea together, that they can have the kind of fun that we have as adults but as kids and include parents as well.”
KidCon! wraps up Sunday, Oct. 23.
