Coquitlam man arrested after 7 separate bank robberies

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a string of bank robberies in three different municipalities around the Lower Mainland earlier this year.

The seven robberies were allegedly committed in Coquitlam, Burnaby and Vancouver between Aug. 17 and Sept. 17.

Twenty-two-year-old Joshua Carter Friesen of Coquitlam was arrested by the Coquitlam RCMP on Sept. 22.

He has been charged with seven counts of robbery and will remain in custody pending his next court appearance on Oct.25.
