A Vancouver man who has twice been convicted of possessing stolen high-end bicycles has been arrested once again.
North Vancouver RCMP searched the home and storage locker Thursday of Gordon Sinclaire Blackwell, 44, and recovered eight stolen bicycles and thousands of dollars in bicycle parts.
Police began investigating Blackwell after two North Vancouver residents reported that they had found their recently stolen bicycles for sale online.
Blackwell has been charged with one count of possession of stolen property and one count of trafficking in stolen property.
Blackwell pleaded guilty in January 2010 to one count of theft and 36 counts of possession of stolen property. North Vancouver RCMP began investigating Blackwell’s business, bikerescue.org, in 2009.
