WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed wide receiver Tori Gurley just days after he was let go by the Toronto Argonauts.

Gurley finished last season tied for the most receiving touchdowns in the league with 10. The 28-year-old American also had 791 yards off 58 catches.
In 10 games this year, Gurley recorded 36 receptions for 509 yards and five touchdowns.
“He’s had some production,” said Bombers head coach Mike O’Shea. “That kind of experience is a good piece to add around this time of year.”
Gurley has had some problems in the past specifically with his attitude. He was benched last season despite being Toronto’s top receiver at the time. The Argonauts made the move after they say Gurley showed unacceptable behaviour on the sidelines. The Bombers believe Gurley will leave his baggage behind.
“I’m confident in the fact that when guys get here, they see the way we conduct business and the types of guys we have, they want to fit in,” said O’Shea. “I’m quite confident that if he doesn’t want to, we’ll know very quickly.”
The South Carolina grad also spent four seasons in the NFL with eight different teams.
Gurley was released by the Argonauts Monday.
