Advance polls are now open for Regina municipal, school board election

The advance polls for the Regina municipal election will start on Oct. 19. File / Global News

Candidates may still be campaigning for Regina’s municipal election on Oct. 26, but advance polls will open today for voters who have already made their decision.

From Oct. 19 to Oct. 22, advance polls for the municipal and school board election will be open at five locations across the city.

Advance Poll Locations

1. City Hall and City Hall Drive-Thru
Located at 2476 Victoria Ave. with the drive-thru on the McIntyre side of City Hall. From Oct. 19-21, it will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 a.m.

2. Northgate Mall
Located at 489 Albert St. From Oct. 19 -21, this polling station will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Saturday, Oct. 22, it will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

3. North West Leisure Centre
Located at 1127 Arnason St. From Oct. 19-21, this polling station will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Saturday, Oct. 22, it will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

4. South Leisure Centre
Located at 170 Sunset Dr. From Oct. 19-21, this polling station will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Saturday, Oct. 22, it will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

5. Victoria Square Mall
Located at 2223 E Victoria Ave. From Oct. 19-21, this polling station will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Saturday, Oct. 22, it will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

To vote in the Regina municipal election, you must be a Canadian citizen, be at least 18 years of age, lived in Saskatchewan for at least six consecutive months and been a resident of Regina or owned assessable land within this municipality for at least three consecutive months.
