A wedding social in Lake Manitoba First Nation took a turn for the worse on Saturday evening.

At least four people have been sent to the hospital.

RCMP officers responded at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday to a serious incident. Officers said there were serious injuries.

STARS Air Ambulance said there were two calls regarding this situation that came in Sunday morning.

The air ambulance transported two people to a Winnipeg area hospital with what they’re calling traumatic injuries following a physical altercation.

The spokesperson for STARS added that two additional people were taken to a Winnipeg area hospital by ground ambulance with a STARS transport physician onboard as well.

RCMP officers have not confirmed any further details.
