HALIFAX – School officials say a fight Saturday at the site of a student hockey game in Halifax was an isolated incident.
Two security guards were injured in the melee that broke out when a group of young people were denied entry into the packed Centennial Arena where the Halifax West Warriors were taking on the Sackville Kingfishers.

One guard was stabbed and another hurt by flying glass when a rock was thrown through a door, but their injuries were not serious.
Police arrested four boys, aged 16 and 17, but they were later released.
Doug Hadley, a spokesman for the Halifax Regional School Board, says the boys who were arrested do not attend the high schools that were participating in the hockey game.
Hadley says the students who were attending the game in the arena were well-behaved, and he’s hopeful the incident won’t reflect poorly on the two schools.
Halifax West High coach Graham Burgess says it’s rare to see trouble break out inside the rink during games.
