Prince William and Kate left their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, in Victoria Tuesday and set off for a beautiful, sunny day at the University of British Columbia’s Okanagan campus and the majestic Mission Hill Winery.

The couple arrived to hundreds of locals gathered at the campus to watch an exhibition match with the nationally-ranked UBC Okanagan Heat women’s volleyball team and met Scorch, the school’s flame-costumed mascot. The royal couple unveiled a plaque to mark the university’s anniversary, then headed off to the Taste of British Columbia Festival at a private event at Mission Hill Winery.
