They started their day on a bumpy ride from Victoria, British Columbia to Bella Bella on B.C.’s central coast. Winds were gusting, the water was choppy and it was pouring rain but that didn’t damper the spirits of those who came out to see the royal couple.

Unlike the first two days of the tour, Kate opted for a warmer ensemble to visit Bella Bella. She wore her favourite Penelope Chilvers Long Tassel Boot over Zara skinny jeans, a jacket by Holland and Holland and a check shirt from Topshop.

Kate has been spotted wearing those boots since 2004.

Later in the day, when the royal couple attended the Black Rod Ceremony at Government House in Victoria, Kate changed into a red dress by British designer Preen by Thornton Bregazzi.

The dress is now pretty much sold out everywhere, but it costs roughly $2,295. She accessorized with the Queen’s platinum and diamond maple leaf brooch.

This was the most formal event of the itinerary on the Canadian tour.

Prince William kept it formal and classy in a navy blue suit.
