The PSA that actor Jesse Lipscombe was filming for the City of Edmonton when racial slurs were hurled his way two weeks ago is now online.

The video, titled Before You Go Downtown, Plan Ahead explains the best way to navigate and enjoy Edmonton’s downtown scene.

Lipscombe gained attention when, during the filming of the PSA, a man drove by and yelled “The n*****s are coming! The n*****s are coming!” which he managed to catch on film.

In the footage, Lipscombe approaches the vehicle and exchanges words with the passengers in the car, before they drive away. Then, as the vehicle leaves, a voice can be heard yelling “n****r!”

The video was shared widely on social media, which gathered the interest of Mayor Don Iverson and sparked the “Make It Awkward” campaign.
