UPDATE: Two Regina men charged after police standoff on Kawacatoose First Nation

Saskatchewan RCMP were forced to lock down an area around a residence on Kawacatoose First Nation following a multi-person assault on Sunday.

After the assault, the suspects left the residence and went to a second location. An initial investigation indicated the suspects had weapons so police locked down the area.

The incident has since been resolved and all restrictions on travel have been lifted.

There is no word on any injuries or arrests, and police remain tight-lipped on exactly how many people were involved.

Punnichy RCMP are still investigating.

Kawacatoose First Nation is approximately 185 kilometres southeast of Saskatoon.
