Kitchener man dead after ATV crash in Southgate Township, Ont.

SOUTHGATE TOWNSHIP, Ont. – Grey County OPP are investigating a fatal accident in Southgate Township.

They say 33-year old Thomas Hughes of Kitchener was killed early Saturday morning when he crashed an All-Terrain Vehicle.

Investigators say Hughes was northbound on Southgate Sideroad 47 when the ATV left the roadway, entered a ditch and then hit a tree.

Police say Hughes wasn’t wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.
