Body found in southeast Calgary pond not suspicious: police

Police said Friday that a body pulled from a southeast Calgary pond is not considered a criminal matter.

The body was found in Valleyview Park, located near 26 Street and 32 Avenue S.E., at around 10:15 a.m. on Thursday.

Police cordoned off the area as they investigated; firefighters helped pull the body from the water.

Police have since determined that the death was not the result of a crime.
