WINNIPEG – Four-time Grey Cup champion, Leo Lewis will be added to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers Ring of Honour when the team hosts the Toronto Argonauts this Saturday.

Lewis played his entire 12 year CFL career with the Bombers from 1955 to 1966. The running back still tops the team’s all-time list with 18,577 yards. Lewis retired as the CFL’s all-time leader in kickoff return yards.
The American was named a league all-star in 1962 after leading Winnipeg in rushing for the third straight season. He was inducted into the CFL Hall of Fame in 1973.
Lewis died in 2013 at the age of 80.
This weekend’s ceremony will mark the sixth time this season the Bombers inducted a former player into their Ring of Honour. Lewis joins Dieter Brock, Milt Stegall, Gerry James, Ken Ploen and Chris Walby on the shrine.
