WINNIPEG — He’s something old, something new, something borrowed and now, back in blue.
Kevin Glenn has returned to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, the team he played with for five years.
“This was the place that put me on the map,” said Glenn.
“I always got told by my father and Jerry Maslowsky that I would end up back here one day.”

The quarterback was acquired by the Bombers on Sunday as part of a three team trade that saw Drew Willy shipped to the Toronto Argonauts.
Glenn served as a starter for most of his first stint with the Bombers. From 2004 to 2008, he threw for 18,116 yards. The number still stands as the third most in franchise history. Glenn also sits fifth on the Bombers’ all-time touchdown passes list with 103. But this time, he has a different role – backup Matt Nichols.
“I’ve been in this league long enough,” said Glenn. “I’ve seen a lot. I can help him from the sidelines and be that extra set of eyes.”
His 16 seasons of CFL experience will also come in handy.
“He knows the game,” said Bombers receiver Weston Dressler. “He’s been around. He’s played a lot. He’s a great guy. Having worked with him last year, he knows football.”
Glenn led the Bombers to a Grey Cup appearance in 2007. He missed the tilt in Toronto though after breaking his arm in the fourth quarter of the East Division Final. The Bombers ended up losing the championship game. So is this unfinished business?
“(I’m) in Winnipeg,” said Glenn. “The Grey Cup is in Toronto. We’ll leave that up to the imagination of everybody.”
