KELOWNA – A marathon swim on Okanagan Lake has earned a Michigan man a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.
In July, Adam Ellenstein swam the length of the lake non-stop, 106.6 kilometres, in 40 hours, 57 minutes and 11 seconds.

At one point Ellenstein started hallucinating, and with 13 hours to go, lost the use of his left arm.
The amazing accomplishment landed the 39-year-old in the Guinness Book of World Records for the fastest, continuous swim of the length of Okanagan Lake.
Ellenstein took on the challenge to raise money for a charity supporting people with Parkinson’s disease .
