WINNIPEG — Hundreds of big rigs are about to take over the Perimeter Highway, aiming to raise money for the Special Olympics.
Around 200 semi-trucks are expected to roll into Winnipeg Saturday, and do a lap of the Perimeter Highway.
The world’s largest truck convoy starts at 11 a.m. in Oak Bluff, Man. It could take the trucks an hour and a half to make their way around.
While it may cause some traffic delays, it’s for a good cause. Since its inception in 2001, the one-day celebration has helped to raise more than $4 million.
