Apple just blew the lid on its own product announcement.
Live coverage: Apple expected to unveil iPhone 7, Apple Watch 2
The tech giant’s official Twitter account sent out a series of tweets regarding the new iPhone 7 as Apple’s press conference began. However, the tweets were sent before CEO Tim Cook even mentioned the new phone officially.
One tweet featured a video showing an iPhone being splashed, with a message that read, “The new water-resistant iPhone 7.”
Just an hour earlier Amazon also accidentally released its webpage for iPhone 7 cases and accessories, showing an iPhone with the rumored dual back-facing cameras. The webpage also included a link for Bluetooth headphones, fueling rumours that the iPhone 7 won’t have a headphone jack.
All of the tweets on Apple’s official account have been deleted. The company never tweeted before Wednesday’s event.
