Leafs’ Andersen sidelined 3-4 weeks, expected to be ready for start of NHL regular season

New Maple Leafs goaltender Frederik Andersen will not play for Team Europe at the World Cup of Hockey.

The Leafs said Monday that Andersen will be sidelined for the next 3-4 weeks because of an upper body injury.

Andersen, who was acquired in a trade from Anaheim this past summer, is expected to be ready for the start of the NHL regular season.

The 26-year-old was injured on Friday in an pre-Olympic qualifier for Denmark when he collided with a teammate.
