On Tuesday, Global News brought you the story about the Aces Football team, a non-profit in Pointe-Saint-Charles that helps kids who can’t afford to get into the game.
The van they’ve been using for 15 seasons broke down, and that’s when they turned to Global News for help.
Since our story was published, coaches say donations have been pouring in to their GoFundMe campaign.

They’ve already collected $1,700 out the $5,000 they’re aiming for.
Organizers say they’re happy they’re getting closer to their goal.
“The generosity of people is great,” said coach Eddy Tibbo.
For now, Tibbo says they have been paying for rides and taking the kids by metro while lugging the equipment around.
They’re also hoping to replace the team’s old uniforms; the jerseys have been handed down for years now and are ripped.
The Aces have a roster of 24 kids.
“Donate, share the campaign and thank you so much to Global for your help,” Tibbo said.
