The Calgary Humane Society (CHS) held an adoption event Saturday in hopes of moving some animals out of the shelter.
This is the fourth year for the event called the Cat-tastic Summer Pawty.
Sage Pullen McIntosh with the CHS said the shelter is not quite at capacity but summer is always a busier time for them.

Calgarians were invited down to the Humane Society for some family-friendly activities as well as the opportunity to bring home an animal at a reduced rate.
Almost all animals seven months and older can be adopted for less money than it would usually cost.
Pullen McIntosh said Saturday’s event is also an opportunity for the CHS to thank Calgarians.
