Pedestrian killed on Highway 8 near Saskatchewan’s Cote First Nation

A pedestrian is dead after a collision on Highway 8 just north of Cote First Nation in Saskatchewan.

Police said it happened Tuesday at around 9:20 p.m. CT when a woman was struck by a northbound SUV.

The 44-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name and hometown have not been released.

The driver of the SUV was not injured.

Kamsack RCMP continue to investigate but have said charges against the driver are not being considered at this time.
