A teenager charged with killing a six-week-old boy in Saskatoon last month was back in court on Wednesday.
The 16-year-old girl, who can’t be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, appeared by video from Regina.
The case was adjourned until Sept. 21 to give lawyers more time to review the results of a psychological assessment.

She’s charged with second-degree murder in the death of Nikosis Jace Cantre.
Police were called to a home in the 200-block of Waterloo Crescent on July 3 for a report of an injured boy.
He was taken to hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The teen had been in open custody at a youth facility when she walked away on July 2.
She was found downtown by members of the baby’s family and brought to their home when she told them she had no place to go.

The family wants the teen tried as an adult.
The Crown has said it will seek an adult sentence if the teen is found guilty.
