Although officials say they’re making progress in fighting the fire — mostly dealing with hotspots — there’s no firm date on when the evacuees can return home.

Roughly 100 residences remain on evacuation order.

Officials say the power is still out in the Trader’s Cove area as BC Hydro crews continue to replace burned poles and that water service to the area has yet to be restored.

At last word, the fire was 75 per cent contained.

No homes were lost in the fire.

Bear Creek provincial campground remains closed as crews continue to deal with downed trees.
