Camp Easter Seal is Saskatchewan’s only fully wheelchair accessible summer camp. Located at Manitou Beach, it gives children and adults with varied disabilities a full summer camp experience.

All participants in Tuesday’s Drop Zone had to fundraise a minimum of $1,500, which is roughly enough to cover the cost of one camper. Last year’s combined total for Saskatoon and Regina was approximately $240,000.

This year is Lynn Peterson’s first time participating in the drop, and she raised enough to send two people to camp.

“Really that’s what it’s all about,” she said, adding that rappelling “is just the icing on the cake. Its all about the fundraising.”
