STC offering reduced fares for seniors during September

Saskatchewan Transportation Company (STC) is bringing back a popular promotion.

During the month of September, passengers who are 60 and older can buy a one-way fare for $15 for anywhere STC travels.

“We are excited to offer the Senior Seat Sale this September,” said STC president and CEO Shawn Grice.

“Seniors enjoy taking advantage of the sale and we look forward to seeing them in our depots and terminals across the province.”

A typical one-way senior fare between Saskatoon and Regina is $38.40 plus tax, resulting in a saving of over $23.

“We want seniors to have access to convenient and affordable transportation,” said Jennifer Campeau, the minister responsible for STC.

“Visiting family and friends or attending appointments across Saskatchewan is even easier with STC’s Senior Seat Sale.”

Tickets for the promotion can only be purchased at STC agencies between Sept. 1 and Sept. 30 as identification is needed at the time of purchase along with boarding.
