SASKATOON – A group in Saskatoon claims some transit users don’t feel safe on city buses and is trying to find out why. Bus Riders of Saskatoon says people have come forward and reported inappropriate touching by other passengers.
Now, suggestions are being welcomed by the group to help improve transit experiences in hopes of increasing ridership.
A public forum on Monday gave people a chance to ask questions and express concerns.
“People from time to time feel less comfortable whether it’s riding the buses at night or riding with a fewer passenger count,” said Cameron McMillan with Bus Riders of Saskatoon.
“We want to collect all those stories and find out what people would like to see changed.”
