Three people are facing a multitude of charges after a stolen vehicle hit a fire hydrant in Saskatoon on Sunday.
At around 1:52 a.m. CT, police located a stolen vehicle in the area of Avenue H and 22nd Street and the Air Support Unit (ASU) was alerted.

A traffic stop was attempted but the vehicle quickly fled.
A patrol unit was able to deploy stop sticks and the driver of the stolen vehicle lost control and hit the fire hydrant on the corner of 18th Street and Avenue H.
The three people in the vehicle fled on foot.
The ASU guided police on the ground to one person hiding on the roof of a house and another under a vehicle in the back yard of another residence.
The third person was arrested by a bike patrol officer. During the arrest, the officer suffered a shoulder injury and his bicycle was damaged.

Civic workers attended the broken hydrant and shut the water off.
All three are facing charges including evading police, possession of stolen property and weapon charges. They are expected to appear in front of a justice of the peace on Sunday.
