A three-year-old boy has been found safe after he went missing overnight on Vancouver Island.
Paul Berry With Comox Valley Search and Rescue says the boy, named Laughlin McKenzie, managed to get “a good distance” from the family home.
He is in good shape and was found with berries all over his face. Berry says it looks like he was hungry and was eating the berries to stave off hunger.
Laughlin, who goes by the name of ‘Loki’, was last seen in the area of Green Avenue, in Union Bay, around 8 p.m. Sunday. He was playing on his bike with his brother.
He was wearing a blue and grey stripped long t-shirt, Velcro running shoes with lights on them and long black pants.

Sixty-five Search and Rescue members were called out to look for Laughlin and they searched through the night.
Neighbour Elise Harkes spoke to Global News this morning, saying she didn’t see Laughlin last night but she heard about him missing.
“He was on his push pedal bike down one of the streets up here,” she said.
Harkes said officers came to her door at about 8 p.m. asking if she had seen the boy.
More details to come.
