EDMONTON – Travis Vader, accused of killing an elderly St. Albert couple two years ago, was scheduled to return to court Tuesday in Edson. Instead, his case was put over to October 2nd after Vader’s
lawyer told court in the community of Edson that he needs more time to go over the file.
Vader, 40, is charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of Lyle and Marie McCann.
Last month, a date was to have been set for Vader’s preliminary hearing, but his lawyer - who appeared on his behalf – asked for and received more time to review the evidence.
The McCanns were last seen alive on July 3, 2010 when they left to visit family in British Columbia.
Their burnt-out motorhome was found two days later west of Edmonton, but their bodies have not been found.
