Sask. man dead after truck rolls down embankment on Poundmaker Cree Nation

Saskatchewan RCMP say charges are pending following a fatal crash near the town site on the Poundmaker Cree Nation.

Initial investigation revealed a truck with five occupants rolled down an embankment.

A 33-year-old passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released by police.

Four other occupants, including the 16-year-old girl who was operating the vehicle, have been taken to hospital with what were described as serious injuries.

All occupants are from Poundmaker Cree Nation.

Cut Knife RCMP are not expecting traffic to be restricted by the single-vehicle rollover investigation.
